The End Of 2025

What a year its been!

As I write this I am facing a week with 4 christmas parties to attend, presents to wrap and market stock to still pack away, however I can start to reflect on some highlights the year has provided me here at Ourlittleshed.

Gosford Galleries Twighlight market was a hot and windy day, however gave me the oppurtunity to have my first ever full stall sized stand!

The timing of the market was beautiful with daylight savings really giving us great atmosphere at sunset

This also gave me the oppurtunity to meet customers that had already noticed my works in the gallery gift shop (So far I’ve made ten sales in Novembers report!)

We then have the Bells at Killcare christmas market and that was a pleasure, its a nice to see customers with their swimmers still on under their clothes, sipping Aperol spritzes and shopping with genuine interest in local products in such a lovely venue.

Looking back at some statistics sales revenue for the website has been down compared to last year by 30%, and 51 orders which is down 26% however by doing an extra market this year I think I came out on par with last years trading performance.

Handmade artisans are doing it tough, and so are small businesses, the store I was in at East Gosford has since shut its doors and there are many others facing challenging market conditions so I definitely will not complain.

I think if anything these stats give me a new drive to be better again next year, I’ve been saying recently that I actually have a bit of a plan for next year (and that is VERY RARE!)

Next years focus

Salad Bowls, Surf Fins, Worry Rocks & High end vases

The people have spoken, the feedback has been heard and it gives me a great level of detail to focus on in 2026.

I want to finally end this post with gratitude for all of you that take the time to read these, to those that send me messages, that like my social media’s, for showing up at my markets and of course giving me the great pleasure in making something for your home.

I want to wish all of you a Merry Christmas and very happy new year, the online space can be something that makes us anxious and upset at times, I hope I can offer some good energy to your lives both in person and digitally.

Thankyou for reading and joining me on this journey!

Nathan
